Industrial Designer

Responsibilities:
Lead industrial design efforts through all phases of design & development process for MIKO brand smart electronic products
Provide new ideas/concepts through effective sketches/compelling design presentations to all levels of MIKO and various stakeholders
Optimize product manufacturability and facilitate transfer of design to manufacturing
Capture/analyze/translate end-user insights into tangible design solutions
Leverage human-centered design methodologies to identify what makes a product intuitive to use
Perform iterative design process based on user feedback/metrics/usability findings/design critiques
Explore new product categories through advanced concept development to expand market opportunities
Communicate regularly with overseas vendor base and agent partners to execute developments across multiple categories
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design or equivalent
Minimum 2-year consumer electronic products’ design experience
Must be experienced in new product development through at least 2 complete concept-to-manufacturing development cycle
Strong hand sketching and product ideas visualizing skills
Familiar with plastic mold design/metal stamping/part-assembly/core manufacturing practices
Proficient in 3D modeling & rendering/Adobe Photoshop/illustrator
